Aww aren't they cute? Poffertjes, just like a pancake, only... smaller. I've been to Amsterdam and to Haarlem and each time I go to the Netherlands I want to move over there. So any Dutch people want to swap for an Australian passport? Only problem is I've only really ever had a go at one word in Dutch (which they seem to expect you to speak if you want to live there), "brotjke" (bread roll)...Oh and "poffertjes", probably.
Anyway Dutch Pancakes first came to my attention at some festival or fete or something (in Melbourne). They were notable for their price, which, perversely, seemed to correspond inversely to their size.
